Tony Sleep was born in 1950 in Bushey, UK. After working as a studio assistant for the photographers Nick Paulo and David Thorpe in the mid-1970s he joined the social agency Gentle Ghost in West London’s Notting Dale. Since studying photography at the London College of Printing he has specialised in editorial photography for magazines, charities and PR. He is Director of EPUK (Editorial Photographers UK) and lives in London. 'Welcome to Frestonia' was published on his first website in 1996. Subsequently it featured in the group exhibition Resistance is Fertile, curated Adrian Arbib, OVADA, Oxford in 2015. Most recently Welcome to Frestonia has been shown with the Frestonian Gallery, co curated by Helen Little and the Frestonian Gallery.
